In India, cricket is much much more than just a game; it is a passion, an obsession, a religion! Millions of youngsters, in all the corners of the country, dream of playing for India! A dream which incredibly only ONE in every 100 MILLION realizes.

'VICTORY' is the story of a father, Ram Shekhawat, who saw such an impossible dream for his son! This is also the HEROIC story of his son Vijay Shekhawat. Hailing from the small town of Jaisalmer, Vijay Shekhawat becomes India's latest world-class batting sensation and is catapulted to superstardom!

But it is the glamour and the glitter of this very demi-god status that makes the young, vulnerable small-town boy Vijay stray from his true vocation of cricket. Unfortunately this leads to a loss of focus and to a miserable drop in his performance. But by the time Vijay realizes the error of his ways, it is too late and he finds himself thrown out of the Indian cricket team because of disciplinary reasons. Suddenly the hero of the cricket crazy India becomes a villain in everyone's eyes. His father Ram Shekhawat's dreams are shattered and suffers a paralytic stroke.

This tragedy awakens Vijay's conscience and sense of honor. He wants to redeem himself in the eyes of his father and every Indian. Against great odds, he once again makes it back to the Indian team and gets to play in the finals of the Champion's trophy against Australia where he plays a stellar role in enabling India to win the Trophy. Where in the emotionally moving final, in spite of being hospitalized mid-innings because of an injury, Vijay returns to bat, risking permanent injury, when India are nine down, to pull off an impossible victory against the world champion, Ricky Ponting's Australia.

In this match Vijay Shekhawat fulfils his father's dreams and enters the pantheon of Indian cricket.

Lucky By Chance- 2009

A struggling actor comes from Delhi to Bombay and enters the Hindi film industry.

Review:
a lovely movie, coherent script, brilliant creativity and direction. each and every frame (as they call in the movie) makes sense.

the story is optimistic and talks of how taking chances may get you what you desire. having a deep meaning and portraying it in a movie is difficult. however, Zoya does that perfectly. the moral of the story is "fortune favors the brave." something we've seen in lot of motivational, war and heroic movies. but the brilliance of this movie is that it targets the commonness and makes one relate to either of the protagonist characters. be it Farhan or Konkona, both have strong characters and a subtle difference. the supporting cast also shows idealism, hard work, fire and the unsettled mind wanting to achieve something.

In all, a brilliant movie with a strong message. and don't forget some eye candy, too. Isha looks flamboyantly amazing, portraying an important class of character. In all, i am sure every role defined in the movie fits either in one of us and our lives. bravo !! 10/10

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) HQ - Watch Online

Tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences
On the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, elderly Daisy Williams nee Fuller is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. At her side is her adult daughter, Caroline. Daisy asks Caroline to read to her aloud the diary of Daisy's lifelong friend, Benjamin Button. Benjamin's diary recounts his entire extraordinary life, the primary unusual aspect of which was his aging backwards, being born an old man who was diagnosed with several aged diseases at birth and thus given little chance of survival, but who does survive and gets younger with time. Abandoned by his biological father, Thomas Button, after Benjamin's biological mother died in childbirth, Benjamin was raised by Queenie, a black woman and caregiver at a seniors home. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. Some of the revelations in Benjamin's diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.

Nokia N97 Smrtphone

This Phone Is Really Smart -- And Expensive
The Nokia N97 is the latest edition to the Finnish mobile device manufacturer's flagship N-line of smartphones. Announced at Nokia World in Barcelona this week, the N97 is smart -- really smart. The phone comes with an embedded GPS and A-GPS sensors that help the phone determine your location, even if you don't know where it is. The N97 will be available in European and Asian markets sometime in the first half of 2009 and retail for about $695. No word on a release date for the United States.

Easy Connectivity To The Web
The N97 contains the key feature that smartphone users have come to expect since Apple's iPhone revolutionized the market. Unlike the iPhone, however, the N97 features 3G connectivity right out of the gate. Wi-Fi is also enabled in the device -- unlike the Research In Motion's BlackBerry Storm -- allowing for easy access to surf the Web.

Touchscreens And Widgets
Touch screen is the hot technology for smartphones these days, and Nokia recognizes that. The front panel of the N97 is a touch screen that doubles as a home page. Users of older Nokia phones will recognize the widgets that users can customize on the front screen. E-mail, weather or even Facebook, it's all right there on the front of the phone.
Just Leave Good Enough Alone
Even though touch screens seem to be the wave of the future, the N97 recognizes that you don't necessarily revolutionize everything about smartphones. After all, if it's not broken, don't fix it. To that end, there's still a full, horizontal QWERTY keyboard for users to punch up text messages, respond to an e-mail or write on a friend's wall.

Location Mapping Social Networks Built-In
Nokia is hoping to make location networking capabilities part of the common lexicon. Some location mapping social networks already exist, like Loopt, Fireball and BrightKite. With the N97's built-in GPS, it makes joining these budding communities and connecting with nearby users even easier.
Get Social, Stay Connected
Right now, there's no app store for the N97 like there is for Apple's iPhone. But Nokia is obviously trying to build communities around this smartphone, or at least to enable users to patch into the social networks that have become the backbone of online interaction for so many people. With the N97, a simple Facebook widget can get you connected and updating your status in no time.

Big Memory
The N97 comes with a hefty load of memory as well. You think 8 GB or 16 GB is enough? How about 32 GB of on-board memory and the capability to add a 16-GB microSD card to boost it all the way up to 48 GB of memory on the go? With that much storage space, you don't have to just stream YouTube videos; you can download entire episodes of your favorite television show and watch on the train ride to work.
Enhanced Operating System
The operating system the N97 is built on should look familiar to the Nokia faithful. The N97 runs on an enhanced Symbian OS, similar to the one found on the Nokia 5800. Officially, the operating system is an enhanced Symbian, S60 version 5.

A Bit Of Column A, A Bit Of Column B . .
The design of the N97 looks to be simple and elegant. The 3.5-inch touch-screen display is reminiscent of the iPhone, while the minimal use of buttons brings to mind RIM's BlackBerry Storm. And the pop-up touch screen with a QWERTY keyboard underneath? That's all G1 from T-Mobile.
All Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
While some lucky people, like the one pictured at the top, actually get to lay hands on the N97 and play around with its functionality, the rest of us will have to wait -- especially if we live on this side of the pond. Europeans and Asians can expect to see the N97 sometime in the first half of 2009. But for U.S. customers who are looking to make the jump, they'll have to wait until later in the year at the earliest.

Defiance - 2009 HQ Links [Watch Online]

Three Jewish brothers escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger

Review :
The movie was good. Not Zwick's best effort though and as for the acting it was Liev Schreiber that delivered the most. Every time I see Craig I see James Bond and that other guy, Jamie Bell, was barely even on screen. I'm guessing most of his scenes were cut out of the film to pave the way for more Craig screen time. The action set pieces were mostly impressive but the problem is, its over before you know it. But I can honestly say, it was impressive nonetheless. Its not brainless by any means, the movie has a profound and compelling story. One can only wonder how these filmmakers come up with more WWII movie ideas every year.

From a visual point of view, the movie looks absolutely beautiful. From the authentic weaponry and uniforms to the rich and colorful Lithuanian locations, Defiance may fall flat during some points throughout the film; as with every other black and white war movies that's been released, the Germans are depicted as war machines of death without remorse, if you can overlook these flaws I think it is an enjoyable film and in its entirety, Defiance is an overwhelming movie that doesn't glamorize the war but shows the intense reality behind it all. A must see for all war movie fans out there.

Sony Cybershot DSC-G3

With a focus on making photo sharing easier and more convenient, Sony today introduced the world’s first Wi-Fi® enabled digital camera that uploads photos and videos to Web sites through any public hotspot due to its built-in Web browser.

The new Cyber-shot DSC-G3 digital still camera answers one of the most pressing needs for photo enthusiasts: how to share those amazing photos and video clips of family, friends and events as soon as you shoot. The Cyber-shot camera makes it easy to upload images and video directly to popular photo and video sharing sites wherever a Wi-Fi connection is available.

“Research shows that our customers greatly value sharing images and video clips, but they often forget or don’t have enough time if they wait to get home to upload images,” said Phil Lubell, director of digital camera marketing at Sony Electronics. “Our new Cyber-shot DSC-G3 camera provides the simplicity and convenience of sharing in the moment, while the impulse is still fresh in people’s minds.”

The camera can wirelessly connect to any public hotspot, including hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and airports. Like a computer, the camera can connect to free or fee-based hotspots, as well as to secure and unsecured access points.

The new DSC-G3 model comes with complimentary AT&T Wi-Fi access to Sony’s Easy Upload Home Page until Jan. 31, 2012. It includes Wi-Fi access at thousands of AT&T hotspots across the United States, including participating coffee shops, selected book stores and major quick-serve restaurant locations, as well as hundreds of upscale hotels and airports.

“By collaborating with Sony to launch the first digital still camera with embedded access to AT&T Wi-Fi service, we’re enabling consumers to gain quick and convenient access to the Internet through thousands of hotspots across the country,” said Glenn Lurie, president of AT&T’s emerging device organization. “The wireless capabilities and cutting-edge features of the G3 camera with the reliable coverage of AT&T’s Wi-Fi network offers a unique, unmatched consumer experience.”

Uploads Made Easy
The new camera makes it easy to connect to the Internet and upload images. By pressing the WLAN button on the camera, you can open its embedded Web browser.

After connecting to the Internet via wireless access points, the camera automatically navigates to the Sony Easy Upload Home Page, which includes direct links to photo sharing sites like Shutterfly™ and Picasa™ Web Albums; video sharing sites like YouTube™ and Dailymotion™; and a photo and video sharing site, such as Photobucket™. Also, the DSC-G3 camera allows you to access other sharing sites for uploading photos and videos through its Web browser.

Through the Sony Easy Upload Home Page, you can send e-mail notifications from the sharing Web sites to let friends and family know that you have posted new images and videos for viewing. This is perfect for sharing with loved ones that were not with you when you took the pictures or shot the videos.
When friends and family are nearby, you can use the camera to access photos you may have already uploaded to sharing sites and display them on its high resolution 3.5-inch LCD screen.

The camera supports DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) guidelines. By connecting to such DLNA-compatible devices as Sony BRAVIA® televisions via access points, photos in the camera can be played back with high-definition quality. In addition to BRAVIA TVs, the camera can connect to other DLNA-compatible devices, such as Sony VAIO® PCs

Smart Camera

In addition to its wireless sharing capabilities, the new camera is built for high-performance imaging. The 10-megapixel camera is about three-fourths of an inch thin and includes a 4X optical zoom Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar lens. Although compact enough to fit in the camera’s slim dimention, this lens provides excellent sharpness and color accuracy.

The Intelligent Scene Recognition™ feature automatically identifies a total of eight types of scenes — backlight, backlight portrait, twilight, twilight portrait, twilight using a tripod, portrait, landscape and macro — and automatically optimizes camera settings for each challenging shooting situation, taking an additional shot in low and bright light scenarios.

With Sony’s Face Detection technology, the DSC-G3 camera detects faces in a scene and adjusts auto focus (AF), auto exposure (AE), flash and white balance accordingly. It can also distinguish between children and adults, allowing users to to prioritize faces according to their preference
.

Combining the Intelligent Scene Recognition feature with Face Detection technology, the camera includes an anti-blink function that helps make closed-eye photos a thing of the past. The camera automatically takes two shots and then determines whether the subject(s) have closed eyes. It will record images with open-eyed subjects. If both pictures have subject(s) with closed eyes, the cameras will record one and display a warning so you can try again.

Sony’s Smile Shutter™ technology automatically captures a smile the moment it happens. You can use the adult or child priority setting when shooting scenes containing both adults and children, and the camera will distinguish one face from another.

The camera’s Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) determines the best exposure and contrast settings in almost any shooting environment, giving images a natural look with clearer details that match what you see with your naked eye. DRO also balances the contrast in scenes with strong highlight and shadow, recovering detail normally lost in shadow areas. Combining the benefits of Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization with high sensitivity mode, Sony’s Double Anti-blur feature helps reduce camera shake blur, especially when there is low light.

Photo Library

The Cyber-shot DSC-G3 model is also a “photo album in your pocket” and has 4GB of internal memory that can store nearly 1,000 full-resolution or 40,000 VGA-quality photos. The 3.5-inch (measured diagonally) wide touch panel Xtra Fine LCD™ screen is perfect for photo-like viewing with high contrast and wide-angle viewing. This Xtra Fine LCD screen delivers high resolution images (921,600 dots) that is approximately four times higher than conventional LCDs.

The camera also makes it easy to sort thousands of images. While shooting, images are organized automatically in albums by date. All images in an album can be displayed simultaneously as thumbnails on the screen, and the desired image can quickly be selected.

There are four ways to view photos: standard folder view, date view, favorites and event view. Images can be stored and managed on both the camera’s 4GB internal memory and an optional Memory Stick® media card.

In addition to the in-camera organization and search functionality, bundled Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software allows you to quickly organize images on a compatible PC. The software lets you search and organize images by event or face, and you can display images in calendar or chronological views organized into folders.

Windows 7 -6.1.7000 (Release Date: 7 January 2009)

Windows 7 (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna) is the next release of Microsoft Windows, an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, Tablet PCs, and media center PCs.

Microsoft stated in 2007 that it is planning Windows 7 development for a three-year time frame starting after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista, but that the final release date will be determined by product quality.

Unlike its predecessor, Windows 7 is intended to be an incremental upgrade with the goal of being fully compatible with existing device drivers, applications, and hardware. Presentations given by the company in 2008 have focused on multi-touch support, a redesigned Windows Shell with a new taskbar, a home networking system called HomeGroup, and performance improvements. Some applications that have been included with prior releases of Microsoft Windows, most notably Windows Mail, Windows Calendar,[citation needed] Windows Movie Maker, and Windows Photo Gallery, are no longer included with the operating system; they are instead offered separately (free of charge) as part of the Windows Live Essentials suite.

TOP 5 FEATURES OF WINDOWS 7

1. Multi-Touch: It seems that Windows 7, not OS X, will become the first consumer OS to bring multi-touch capability to the masses after all. We were afraid Microsoft will try to sell Windows 7 on the multi-touch pitch alone but are, in fact, pleasantly surprised with the implementation. There is an on-screen virtual keyboard and gestures for common mouse actions, like dragging and right-clicking, that work throughout Windows 7 and applications like Paint and Microsoft Earth. Click on a taskbar icon to reveal the Jump List or draw a "b" in Internet Explorer 8 to go backwards. Gestures are tied into mouse navigation calls, so any Windows application will be able to support multi-touch right away. Windows 7 is multi-touch on desktops done right and Microsoft should be credited for that.

2. Windows 7 taskbar: The Dock in OS X means business, but the new, taller taskbar in Windows 7 has nifty features, like live thumbnails that fan out in a row when you hover the mouse pointer over an application icon in the taskbar. Thumbnails are created not only for the windows an application has opened, but for tabs as well. Hover over the Internet Explorer 8 icon and the thumbnails show all opened tabs. When you hover over a thumbnail, you get a full-sized screenshot of a window or a tab without switching the application. Task thumbnails enable faster task switching and more efficient windows management than the Dock + Expose combo in OS X. Like it or not, we believe the new taskbar in Windows 7 is a whole step ahead of the Dock in OS X.

3. Libraries: Both Windows and OS X have special folders for storing documents, images, music, videos, etc. But don't you just hate it when you fill up your hard drive with music, having to move all MP3s to a larger drive and then re-route the Music folder to this new location? Not anymore. In Windows 7, you simply add a new location to your Music folder. The Library feature allows your MP3s to reside on any number of internal, external and network locations, while they appear to reside inside the Music folder. Better yet, the new Federated Search enables you to search Libraries, too, so you can easily locate media files across multiple locations. A fantastic new feature.

4. Play To and Windows Media Center: Windows has become better multimedia center than OS X, period. The Jump To feature enables you to send video and audio output from one PC to a network-enabled media player, home stereo and even other PCs on the network – a trivial and tremendously useful feature OS X still lacks. More importantly, Apple's FrontRow is really no match for Windows Media Center, which now looks much more attractive thanks to more eligible fonts and has become much more useful due to the addition of Internet TV and the ability to customize its start menu. Apple limits Front Row to iTunes and refuses to add DVR capabilities.

5. Device Stage: Windows 7 brings a new feature that shows all the features and documents relating you hardware in a single window. Connect your mobile phone and it appears in Windows Explorer. Click on it and a window comes up with vendor-branded background (if a vendor supports this feature) that might show basic information about the cellphone, its capabilities, links to its manual and the latest driver, in addition to advanced features like syncing capabilities, copying videos and images from a device, setting ringtones, etc. Just like it is the case with Vista, you have to search down through various system features and applications to access different capabilities of a device. Before Windows 7, we never thought there was a better way of doing this. Device Stage not only feels right, it is a better approach to assemble your key hardware in one place

Nokia’s much-awaited touchscreen phone is finally launched in India. The much speculated and talked about phone -- Nokia 5800 XpressMusic -- is touted as the company's answer to Apple iPhone.

Seems, the world's top cellphone maker took some cues from Apple iPhone’s pricing in India, Nokia 5800 is priced at Rs 21,800 (almost Rs 9,000 less than 8GB iPhone and Rs 14,000 less than 16 GB iPhone).

The phone will also feature Nokia's Comes With Music service, which challenges Apple Inc's dominance in the digital music market

Vedio Review:

On the looks front Nokia 5800 has same rounded corners and similar screen like iPhone. The screen size is 81mm (3.2-inch) diagonally, with 640x480-pixel touchscreen display that can play multiple types of video at a high resolution.

Measuring 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm, the Nokia 5800 weighs 109 grams. Positioned as a music phone, the phone will be available in black, red, and blue variants.

The phone supports both finger and stylus touch

Nokia's touch phone comes with 81MB internal memory, 8GB microSD memory card, capable of storing approximately 6,000 songs. The memory can be further expanded upto 16GB. Nokia 5800 is equipped with the Symbian S60 interface which Nokia showed off last year.

The battery life is reportedly as much as nine hours (GSM) or five hours (HSDPA), 35 hours for music playback or three hours of video. The company claims that the standby time is up to 17 days.

Nokia 5800 has 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a dual-LED flash with 30 fps video recording. It also has a second backward facing camera.

Nokia 5800 has built-in surround stereo speakers, Nokia Maps, GPS, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth and a top-mounted 3.5mm headphone socket.

Unlike the Apple iPhone, the Nokia 5800 has Flash support, a programme used to power many online video services and websites.

The phone has a Media Bar, a drop down menu that provides direct access to music and entertainment.

A new Contacts Bar lets users highlight four favorite contacts on their homescreen. There is also an option to track digital history of recent text messages, email, phone logs, photos and blog updates.

Nokia 5800 also has an accelerometer for display rotation. However, the phone's biggest miss is the ability to download extra software and applications, which is possible in both Apple iPhone and Google G1.

Priced at Rs 21, 839, Nokia's touchscreen phone will be available at other mobile stores starting 15th January. Currently it is available at all Nokia Priority dealers.

In India Nokia sell phones with no operator lock, unlike Apple iPhone with Bharti and Airtel.

So, seems Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is all set to give tough competition to Apple iPhone which retails at Rs 31,000 for 8GB and Rs 36,000 for 16GB in India. Google phone G1, said to reach India by January end, is also likely to be priced above Rs 20,000.

Like the iPhone and other smartphone rivals including BlackBerry Storm and Samsung Omnia, Nokia's touch phone too offers support for 3G. This enables faster Web browsing and downloading.

The handset is a GSM/EDGE/HSDPA 3G device along with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (with stereo audio) and USB 2.0 connectivity. It also has A-GPS and Nokia Maps for voice-guided navigation.

Billed as a music phone, Nokia 5800 comes pre-loaded with a vast range of music collection. The phone will feature Nokia's Comes With Music service which will let users download music for free for a year from a catalog that includes 4 million songs.

Nokia's music download package is its first major push into the services business. The company said that all major music labels and most independent labels will offer their tracks as part of Nokia's 'free' music bundle "Comes with Music," raising the total number of tracks to around 5 million.

The phone support Playback protected WMA, AAC and MP3, and is reportedly compatible with Windows Media Player 11.

Other music features include stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth, and a guitar pick stylus.

Pocket Size Notebooks - Sony Vaio P

Japanese electronics giant Sony debuted a powerful, fashionable notebook computer small enough to fit in a purse or suit jacket.

The Vaio P Series “lifestyle” personal computer is the size of a standard business envelope for mail and weighs a mere 1.4 pounds.

"It easily fits in a purse and I know for a fact it fits in a jacket pocket," Stan Glasgow, head of Sony's operations in the United States, said as he unveiled a garnet-coloured P Series Vaio in Las Vegas on the eve of the Consumer Electronics Show. "Aside from its design, it is a serious piece of technology."

The mini-notebook has built-in Bluetooth and wireless Internet connection hardware along with global positioning satellite (GPS) technology.

"You can be connected where ever there is a cell phone signal," Glasgow said.

The stylishly small Vaio has a high-resolution 8-inch LCD screen. It is priced at $900 and will be available in stores late this month, according to Sony.
